At the bus stop in Bukovany, start your trip towards the traditional, time-honoured cuisine and crafts. However, if you feel like it, there is a start at the Bohuslavice u Kyjova train station for able-bodied tourists – this will extend the trip by 3 kilometres.
Join the Kyjovská bike trail and a gradual gentle ascent will take you to the Bukovany Mill. There is such a wide choice of activities here that it is hard to choose what to do first – mini zoo, minigolf duel, milling massage trail… or will you try archery? You definitely must not miss out on a real culinary experience at the mill restaurant, which has been recognized in the prestigious Gourmet South Moravia show. The milling master will be happy to take you on a tour of the windmill with an exhibition of pottery and an ascent to the lookout tower.
But it is time to move on – along the Kyjovská bike trail towards Ždánice. Beautiful rolling hills near Lovčice covered with grapevines will take you to the above-mentioned Ždánice, where you will come across an observatory and planetarium right at the edge of the village. Just in case you are a fan of space… From here, you can pursue worldly pleasures by following the green tourist marking towards the Ždánice Chateau and Vrbas Museum. It does not offer a classic tour in sliding slippers around the castle interiors, but it does offer some 6,000 exhibits! Including some real curiosities...
And after the museum and wandering (picnic?) around the castle garden, it is back to the Ždánice bus stop.
