Admire the former Jewish school, which also served as the rabbi's residence, from the outside. The local synagogue repurposed as a warehouse during the Nazi occupation, remained so until 1997. Since then, its doors have reopened to the public, and it now hosts a variety of exhibitions and vibrant cultural events.
A visit to the Jewish cemetery is also highly recommended. The oldest surviving tombstone in Lomnice's 'house of life,' as the cemetery is known in Hebrew, dates back to 1716. In the adjacent, newly renovated morgue building, you'll find an exhibition dedicated to the history of Lomnice's Jewish community.
