Stalactites, stalagmites, stalagnates... do you have problems telling these cave-related terms apart? Visit the House of Nature and you will be a master of cave terminology.
Both you and your kids will enjoy this exhibition. There is so much information on the Moravian Karst that they decided to dedicate a whole building to it here, and they managed to do it really well. You can find ancient history on the ground floor, because the whole area was once a colourful coral sea. You can see how the caves were formed, you can meet our ancestors and explore how they lived in the caves along with other animals.
A spiral staircase will take you up to daylight and to contemporary times. Here you’ll find an interactive room with maps of the area for explorers, tourists, cyclists and speleologists, as well as a 3D cinema. A playroom for little speleologists has been installed inside and a geopark and a water game await you outside so that you can try out how streams and rivers flow through the karst. The House of Nature offers a wide range of activities, so stop by!
