The Milotice Chateau is known as the pearl of Southeast Moravia. This complex of Baroque buildings and garden architecture, preserved to a unique extent, will soothe your soul.
The castle exhibition will offer you an insight into the lifestyle and habits of the last owners from the Seilern-Aspang dynasty. The chateau grounds include an opulent French Baroque garden, pheasantry, orangery, riding school and stable.
You can walk for hours, whether on your own, as a couple, or with a pram. Speaking of walking, you can borrow perfect replicas of period clothes in the castle and walk around the garden – and take pictures – in style. (It is necessary to book this experience online here.)
You will have no problem spending the whole day on the chateau grounds. Your kids will be delighted by the chateau stables. Among other things, they will find a dragon cave with a treasure here and you will find good tips for other trips in the area. In the chateau riding hall you will see (and maybe also caress) birds of prey ranging from the venerable bald eagle and cool falcon to the cute barn owl.
