Dobšice was the worst hit by the bloody massacre, almost all of which lay in ashes... Today, this event is commemorated not only by monuments, but also by the reconstruction of the battle held every year in early July. Every year the programme starts with an evening commemorative act at the Louka cemetery and on Saturday military manoeuvres, which culminate in a military clash with a story of one of the soldiers. The period atmosphere will be illustrated by a military camp next to the Louka Monastery in the southern suburb of Znojmo. From there, the armies will march to the forest park near Dobšice on Saturday after 11 a.m., where preparations for the battle will take place and then at 2 p.m. a battle demonstration lasting about 40 minutes will end with a small clash directly in the river. At the same time, on Saturday, the "Dobšice cellar conquest" takes place - a wine programme in the Dobšice wine cellars.
